Hey everyone, I hope your Holiday season was a good one. Family, work, and extracurricular activities have kept me moving, which is how I like it. As we all know, objects in motion stay in motion.
I'm sharing a quick gallery of December into January because I haven't done it before.
From top left to right: Our family went to see the Christmas Spectacular Starring The Radio City Rockettes, where I learned that during the show, each Rockette does around 300 kicks per performance and up to 1,500 kicks per day during the busiest schedules—Jesus.
We also spent some time at Rockefeller Center, where we took the kids ice skating. I must say, I didn't eat there that day. The middle left is The Beekman Hotel, where my wife and I spent a quiet evening away from the kids. The middle photo is from the Holiday Party at Alcyone Lodge No. 695, where we are lucky to have a professional photographer as a member—which clearly paid off here.
The upper and middle right are shots of Wall Street during the holiday season, specifically of the Christmas tree at the NYC Stock Exchange. Working in Manhattan, you always have to stop and remind yourself how unique an experience it is—even if getting there and home is akin to oral surgery sometimes.

The bottom left is from Sagamore Hill during one of my rare days off. I'm in the middle of reading one of Roosevelt’s biographies, Theodore Roosevelt: A Strenuous Life by Kathleen Dalton, and the book Sagamore Hill may as well be its own character. Known as the "Summer White House" during his presidency, it was where Roosevelt hosted dignitaries and conducted official business while enjoying time with his family. Today, it is a National Historic Site, preserving Roosevelt’s legacy and offering tours of his home, filled with his original furnishings, hunting trophies, and memorabilia.
The middle bottom is a sneak peek of a new coffee lounge opening in Huntington. A few friends are involved in it, and I'm excited about any new spot where I can sit, sip, visit, and immerse myself in the community.
The bottom right is from a visit to St. Andrew's Lodge No. 16 in Toronto. I was lucky enough to be in town on a night when they performed a Master Mason degree, and it did not disappoint.
Things I liked in January
USB Hand Warmers - I received these as a Christmas Gift, not knowing what to expect, but to my surprise, I've been using them nonstop. I don't know if I have a condition of which cold hands are a symptom or if I'm getting old, but these things are great; buy them here.
Book Darts: tiny metal bookmarks; use one, use thirty, they rule, buy them here.
This quote from Adam Grant stopped me in my tracks. Who are you willing to let down to make room for you?
I LOVE BookDarts!!
